My baby is only 4 months old and I for the life of me can not get ahold of her doc and he told me yesterday that he would call in a script for her and he never did so I requested for him to call me again and he still has not called. Now of all things I can not get ahold of her pharmacy to see if he has called it in yet and I hate seeing her like this :( does ANYONE know anything I could try to treat it here at home? it is making her verry uncomfortable and she cries constantly until I give her baby orajel :(

Gentian violet and if it's recurring, an anti-candida diet would be helpful.

Be careful w/ orajel that has benzocaine in it. It can cause methemoglobinemia, a condition that reduces the amount of oxygen carried by your LO's bloodstream.

Try:

or

www.askdrsears.com/topics/childhood-illnesses/thrush

Hope this helps. I'd also chew out your pedi and fire him or her immediately. There is NO EXCUSE for not callin in her script or for not returning your phone calls. He/she is probably out living it up for his/her holiday weekend and can't be bothered, whilst your LO suffers!

I would be finding a diff doctor. I would call the office and let them know unless they can get  the dr on the phone or they can say goodbye to my money

Refrigerated live probiotics and low sugar yogurt. Gentian violet. Diluted grapefruit seed extract.

I had it 4 times. I'm a bit of a pro!
