Mine was like that too. It was horrible! And I had a friend that when hers came back she was soaking through all of her clothes hers was so heavy. So if it gets to that point I would go into the doc. But its normal for it to be pretty heavy for a while

Im 6 weeks PP and the same thing happened to me, finally yesterday it stopped. I think it was my 1st PP period.

Both PP periods Ive had have been HORRIBLE, super heavy bleeding, passing clots, etc.

Your period after a baby can be different than before.  It's not uncommon for them to be heavy.  If blood is pouring out of you that is a concern except first thing in the morning.  When you are laying down the blood can pool and so it looks horrible when you get up.  Watch the flow and know that heavy can be very normal.  You can try some motrin to help with the bleeding.

Try taking a hot bath and massage your lower belly. My periods used to be bad. Take some iron pills, drink tons of water and stay away from caffeine. Hope it helps calm your flow
