EDIT... Has anyone ever stole what you were doing for your child(s) birthday?
She claims I don't have to change it cause she MAY change her mind but she's always been a damn thief!
My DS will be turning 1 & hers will be 4. My DF always told me never say anything 2 her cause she's just like that but damn, make your own thing up!
Every year she normally does the same ol' thing. Now I'm pissed bc maybe I should have kept my mouth close.
Has thi ever happened to you?
EDIT: THE WATER PARK IS HUGE, THEY HAVE A SIDE FOR TODDLERS FOR THE ONES THAT KEEPS ASKING
It happened to me at work. I talked to much about this party I planned for DS when he turned 5. It was in Cookies magazine and it was all planned out. It was a rock star party for a girl and I made it for my son. I had told her about the things I was picking up because the magazine had given the websites on where to get everything. She came back to me asking about how the party went and I had forgot I had shared the details with her and she acted all surprised. She was WOW I did the same thing. I was mad but then I thought my DS is 5 and her grand daughter is 15 or 16 and it was totally different parties. I do have to say it was awesome. For his party I painted a streak of red down his hair for a mohawk look. All the kids got a a necklace that either said "Back Stage Pass", "VIP, and a couple of other sayings with my son picture posing with a Kango on his head when they got to the party. Their gift bag had a blow up guitar and microphone with sunglasses in it along with rock start tattoes. They were in heaven.

Wow, I wasn't taking about you...I was one that was agreeing with you, if you read my comments you would see that. The post about there being issues with legs because he was walking early was what I was talking about, and actually quoted it... THAT post wasn't necessary and I feel like it was said to cause drama.. Not yours!!:)
I don't see the big issue with it. It's a party, maybe she just didn't know what to do and that sounded like a good idea, being as her kid is older and more able to enjoy? No one can "steal" your idea.
Quoting Livinwith3boys:walking does not equal walking well...and if he started at 8 months, my guess is his legs have some issues from bearing that much weight when under developed :) good luck though!

Who are you to say that one year olds don't walk well? My son has been walking since he was 8 months. Lol and if her kid is anything like mine, they'd love the waterpark! :)
Quoting Livinwith3boys:IMO having a one year old's party at a water park is silly...the kid can't even walk well yet....let her 4 year old have a good party, and you have yours at home or a park, somewhere 1 year olds can play!!! You have a lifetime for big fun parties at the waterpark!
A water park for a 1 year old??!!!! - What are you going to do when he turns 4? That sounds way over the top to do for a 1 year old that won't remember it anyway. I would wait until yours is 4 or maybe even older to do a water park. Is there any way you guys could combine the party since it sounds like some of the same people might be there and you are worried about it??

Maybe she realized it was a good idea and figured her kids would enjoy it. It's not like a 1 year old would care or remember.
