That's pretty normal at that age :) hell slowly start sleeping longer stretches at night. As for only sleeping while being held during the day you can try swaddling him or laying beside him and slowly moving farther away each time. He just likes the comfort of being held.

It's hard to remember that! My girls didn't sleep through the night for a long time! I never did a schedule with my girls they basically set their own.

At 3 months, that is normal.

At 3 months "sleeping through the night" is considered 5 hours without waking. Some sleep more, some less. Sometimes babies go through growth spurts and wake up every 2 hrs or more! Sorry momma, at this age u just gotta wake up with him.

When DS turned 3 months old he slept all night :)

We gave him a bath around 7pm

Put baby rice or oatmeal & baby food (bananas) in his bottle then he was out of there. .

When we put our kids on a routine, I started by first tracking their normal patters and writting down every time they took a nap, even if it was a cat nap, just to get an idea of their natural wake and sleep pattern. After a week of that, I slowly started moving his nap times by anticipating when he would get tired and putting him down a little earlier. I always put him in his crib to sleep, but I also had a video monitor to watch him. I eventually got his routing to match our families. We all get up at 6:30, so I made it at that age where he got up at 6:30, went for nap from 8:30-10:30, 12:30-2:30, 4:30-5:30, then down for the night at 7:00. We did the up 2 down 2 routine. When he hit about 6 months, we cut the last nap down to 30 minutes and just over 9 months took that nap out completely. Then at 1 year we took the first nap out.

I do want to make it clear though that I always fed my baby on demand and if he got tired at a different time, I still put him down for a nap. I never deprived him of food or sleep if he needed it.
