If I needed to go back to work, I'd have to figure out childcare somehow. :) Luckily, the situation hasn't presented itself.

Kinsley will be 13 months old the 9th. She has been to daycare no more than 15 times.

I didn't have a bad experience with them..although with that little time it doesn't mean much.

I also used to work at a daycare. I loved my job and I felt the daycare was a good one.

My ods was watched by a lady that had three other boys at home. That was only for a few months. I liked her and he had fun. My yds was in a daycare because I had no other choice. I was single at the time and had to work. He was there 11 hours a day 4 days a week. He was 3 at the time so it wasn't too bad. The daycare was good, he had fun, but I hated leaving him that long.
My dd now will hopefully never go to a daycare. I have watched another child in my home so I can stay home and still earn an income.
I have worked in two different day cares and one of them I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

My kids have all gone to daycare, it's the same daycare I attended as a child. Ds7 was kept by mil the first year or so but I don't get along with her so it wasn't ideal. She let him watch tv all the time, so he was very cranky when at home we wouldn't turn on the tv. When ds4 came along I had a cousin who baby sat him and my other cousins little boy who were 10 weeks apart, that lasted about 8 months until space was available at our daycare. Now dd10 months has been in daycare since she was 9 weeks old. Until June she only went 2 mornings a week, bc I work very few hours, now she goes 2 full days and 1 half along with her brothers for the summer. I would recommend our daycare to anyone and have and have a number of friends whose children now go there. It is a Christian daycare through the church I grew up in, though the children don't attend services or anything and they aren't taught the bible. When ds7 started kindergarten his teacher told me our daycare has the best preschool in town, he knew what he needed to to be successful in school.

I had my son in childcare with a family member and hated it because I missed all his first and he started want to go to that family member more then me and I was completely jealous and I know that sounds horrible but I was. Now I am an at home mom that also works from home and I love it!

I work so my son needs to go to daycare from time to time.  I work nights and have to sleep.  I know some people think they can work nights and take care of kids during the day but...that's just dangerous and not something I'm willing to do.  He actually rarely goes because of how my schedule works out but we pay weekly to hold his spot for the weeks we need it.

I am lucky because his daycare is wonderful.  The ladies there are all wonderful and sweet.  He LOVES his "teacher".  My 8 year old went there and she will tell me she wishes she could go back LOL.  It's a great place if daycare is needed.
