The picture is my DH named "Sofia" with her usual smile so her teeth is very precious for me.

My baby is 15months old, with a big white teeth 5 above, 4 below. I am confuse if I should take care of it as soon as now or should I let it by itself. My nephew's, who is 19months, teeth is already not in good shape but my sister is not bothered, she says that its okey because it will be replace. I was being troubled that if I take care of it now, her teeth my overlap,..thus If I dont take care of it now her teeth will be yellowish.... dont know what to do..need help.. How do you do it? any technique???

I used water until she had teeth, then used a wet toothbrush and when she had more than a few teeth and wasn't going to choke on the toothpaste, I used it. Their teeth and mouths get dirty just like ours do.

You can start brushing her teeth now. You can buy a tooth brush. They actually have tooth brushses for babies. They also have a toothpaste that is safe to swallow. It's called training tooth paste and it says right on the front safe to swallow. These products will be where you get your tooth brushes and tooth paste at. Take a look.

I was able to get a gel brush and DD loves it,.but spitting water after toothbrushing for my DD is difficult to achieve. She just drink the water,so I just make it a point to wash some toothpaste by water out of
her mouth.

I start brushing their gums even before they have teeth to keep their gums healthy. Then I buy baby toothbrushes and brush with just water and when they get a bit older I use a pea sized dab of toddler toothpaste. We brush in the mornings and nights. We also start flossing their teeth as soon as they'll let us-lol! All of our dentists have told us that kids cannot brush their teeth well enough on their own until they are 7 years old so we'll continue to help them until then. We let them brush and then brush them ourselves.

Take care of them. My kids dentist is great, inexpensive and really knows how to deal with kids. I recommend getting a pediatric dentist... They know kids :) parent magazine has a nice list.

Brush, brush brush! My kids inherited my family's crappy teeth. Even though they are not permanent, they can get cavaties. Cavities HURT! I have to supervoise all of my kids with tooth brushing tomake sure they actually do it.

Brush them with at least water twice a day. You can use non flouride toothpaste if you want
