My daughters are 4.5 yrs old and 26 months old and we still give them warm milk before nap and bedtime rather than with their meals. Studies do show that warm milk helps people to fall asleep and well since I work nights, I need all the sleep I can get. It is also remnant to the time they were babies and had warm breastmilk before they would fall asleep.
Do you think this is weird? Does anyone else do it too?
I have switched my son to almond/ coconut milk instead of cow's milk and I don't warm it but I do give him kisses :D
Quoting larissalarie:
Other than warm milk straight from the tap, no I haven't done this. But I think it's a great idea (hopefully you brush their teeth after!) and a nice part of their bedtime routine.
Yes we do brush afterwards and then they get story time and massages. Both were preterm and I had done a reasearch paper about the power of massage that it helps with circulation and development particularly with preemie babies.
I don't, but if I worked third shift and needed sleep in the day I would too!
This.. :o)
