Vaccines

Hi.. My daughter is 2 months old and this Friday she is supposed to go to the doctor for a checkup and her vaccines. I'm very anxious about this visit. Im worried about the risk for autism as I've heard it can occur from receiving them. I understand that there is no research to support that vaccines cause autism but I've people have been telling me their stories about how it happened with someone else's kid they know, etc.. Now I'm not so sure I want my baby to get them. But I don't want her to get the diseases that the vaccines prevent either. Anyone else struggle with this?

don't get the vaccines. there are more risks to getting them compared to not getting them. and they are now testing common vaccines on baby monkeys and they are getting autism. my kids have not had a single shot in their lives they are 3 and 5. they have never been sick beside the seasonal cold when the weather changes. and even then it is just a slight runny nose.

Yeap, I thought the same thing until I almost lost my son from those "harmless" vaccines.

Op, research, research, research. The only child I have that received shots was the oldest until four months when his reaction occurred. My twp girls are not and are healthy, happy, little girls.
In the end you and their father are the only people who can make this decision. Don't do what I did and follow blindly what the medical community says. My son wouldn't have had to suffer had I only done the research before vaccinating him.

Do your own research for peace of mind. I did, and I found out I didn't have anything  real to worry about. Educate yourself, ask your doctor questions, in the end you will probably find that there is no real risk, and the vaccines are safe.

wow, that was really uncalled for. I just offered my opinion cuz OP asked, I assumed she wanted all sorts of opinions otherwise she probably wouldn¨t have asked.

I still stand by my statement. I am happy for you and your family, that you do what you think is best for them. Your opinion really isn't warranted or cared for- I have done and continue to do research on this matter from valid sources and will continue to do the best things for my family according to that. *tips hat* I wish you and yours well. Have an excellent day!

My decision was very well informed, thank you

I am glad you guys have not experienced any adverse reactions. We do not think being lethargic and having a high fever for two days is optimum for our kids' health or the heavy risk of SIDS the manufactures even acknowledge exist with some vaxes. I am very glad you are happy with your decision, informed and researched or not. I am more than happy on my decision knowing what is (and isn't) going into my kids' bodies and making an intelligent decision accordingly.

Quoting at82:

Nopedy nope nope! No hesitations on weather to vaccinate or not. The only struggle we had was the poor mommy (yes that would be me) felling like I was gonna die when I saw the needles being put in hahahahahahaha but I never questioned if we should vaccinate. Ours has got all of his on time so far (he's six months) no problems and no side effects. A little crying after his. 2 month shots but at's to be expected.

I don't struggle with it, because I sit down and research each vax before I agree to them. Remember, you can always get a vax done once you are sure it is for you little one, you can't undo a vax you were not sure of. Here is a great link for helping you weigh the risks versus the benefits of each one (I research them shortly before they come up on the schedule). I think the big questions are: How likely is my little one to get this illness? How is it transmitted? What happens if LO gets it- how likely are they to die or suffer permanent damage? How is the ailment treated? What are the adverse reactions listed on the vax's insert and the likelihood that will happen? Where is this vax on the schedule for other industrialized countries and these countries with low SIDS rates (I am especially worried about SIDS with a baby so young)?

Here is a list from the CDC of each vax and what the ingredients are, which is where I started.

To offer your opinion is fine and dandy. I am glad you have an opinion on this issue, that is great. There was no reason to quote my response and say, "Nopedy nope nope!" then inform
ME of YOUR opinion. I did not ask and don't care what decision you make for you and yours. Best wishes.

I wouldn't worry about autism, but there are many other side effects. (My DD was nearly killed by a reaction.)

Both of my daughters are vaccinated and my third baby will be as well. Do your research and decide what is best for your family.

You misunderstood me completely. I was agreeing that I wasn't struggling with it either. My nopedy whatever was an agreement with your nope. I, as you, have made research but reached a different conclusion. I quoted you because I felt it appropriate to show that both sides can feel very assured their way is the way to go and I think it's important that you make a decision that you fell comfortable with and that don't make you struggle whatever that decision may be.

After doing my own research on the topic we chose not to vaccinate.  You do have a choice.  My website can be a good starting point for doing your own research:  http://www.vaccinechoice.webs.com
