So i was thinking of buying this oval shaped side sleeper from target for my 1 month old. I'm nursing and Its great to have him close to me, also I'm scared of sids so I hold him or have him very close to me at bedtime. Problem is, lately I've been so exhausted lately that dh says I move a lot in my sleep and even though he says I reposition baby, I don't remember it. My 5 yr old apparently came to bed 3x last night and I tucked her back in, but have no memory of this. Is it unsafe to cosleep? Would the side sleeper benefit us? Like keep baby safe from me I guess..I don't know why I'm not remembering anything when I wake up in the middle of the night..its a scary thought!

It is if you are sleeping that deeply. I would get the co-sleeper for your baby. It is safer than sleeping with the baby if you can't even remember tucking your 3 yo in. It isn't uncommon to be more tired with the second baby, as you are also caring for another child, and not sleeping as much.

If you are not remembering anything that you did with either of your kids while you are sleeping, then co sleeping is not a wise thing to so. Getting and consistently using the side sleeper thing sounds like a really good idea.
Just feed the baby and when he pops off, slide him back to where he is safe.

I agree with pp's. I co-sleep also but the other nite i put her in her crib, which is also in our room, cuz i hadnt slept in almost 2 days and when i went to slee she was in her crib but when i woke in the morning she was in her swing on my side of the bed. Freaked me out. Luckily that was the only time that happened
