what do you consider to be a "birthday"?

to you is a birthday the DAY of birth?

or is it the TIME of birth?

i think of it as the DAY of birth. my dd turns 1 tomorrow so i consider her birthday July 15th.

but my mom thinks of a birthday as the TIME of birth. so to her my dd's birthday isn't until 5:04pm tomorrow.

The whole Day. But I enjoy recognizing the exact time as well.

The day, but I will tease my kids about it being the time. They will say "I'm _ years old now!" and I will say "well, not until 7:44 tonight" which will be met with eyerolling and an exasperated "MOM!". lol

Both.. we observe the entire day, making special note of the birth time!

The whole day. Although I have this weird thing where I always wake up at the time I was born (3:41am).
