My daughter Morgan will be 6 months on August 13 and we have been using dreft on her clothes. My question is..at what age can we start using regular detergent because dreft is starting to become too expensive to buy along with our regular detergent.

You NEVER have to use dreft. I hated the way it smelled so I never bought it. You can use tide or all free & clear detergent. No dyes or perfumes. And dreft costs more than regular stuff so stop wasting your money.

1 mom liked this

we've never used dreft but if your baby has an alergy there are still cheaper brands that make dye and perfume free detergents

I hate Dreft! I use All Baby, it smells so much better. I don't know how much the Dreft is but the All Baby is about $10 a bottle, I've had the bottle I'm using now since he was born and he is 7 months old. If you plan to switch now I would use a free and clear detergent

I never used dreft - never really understood the idea behind washing baby's clothes in something for babies, but then snuggling them up close against me wearing cloths that have been washed in regular detergent - if baby is going to be sensative to regular detergent, my clothes are going to be an issue, too  :)

I wash all of our laundry in free and clear detergent -  makes more sense to me

I dont get why dreft is even marketed as a baby laundry detergent. It is sooooo full of fillers and scents that I would expect it to break out a sensative child. Get rid of it and use your own detergent. If you can hold your baby without it getting a reaction to your clothes, then they arent allergic to your detergent.
