What was your experience? my son was born at 24 weeks and bc how they cut my uterus I always have to have one. I was put all the way out when he was born but had a spinal with my daughter. I was sick and throwing up after the spinal with my daughter. I'm having my 3rd and wondering if throwing up is typical or not for a c section?

I never threw up after my c-section. I was just extremely hot. It might be because of the medicine they used you might have had a reaction to it? I don't know. Here's a bump though!:)

I've never had a c section but i know that the epidural always makes me sick because it causes a sudden drop in blood pressure! GL

I threw up after my first so when i went in for mu second i told them and they have me medicine. They said its common to get aick after a epidural/ spinal.

I got sick after my spinal too. My anesthesiologist said it was common though.

looks like I can expect to be throwing up. with my son at 24 weeks my water broke and they gave meds to try and stop contractions and I was so worried and going crazy I only remember holding out about 12 hours and rushing me to surgery. Soo with my daughter I was 19 and thought I had to take a crap for like 5 hours and then started bleeding and lol went in the bathtub thinking water stopped bleeding! wtf was I thinking?! so then it was so bad I dialed 911 when the bath didn't stop my bleeding and they had to quick get me in surgery. Could it be they gave me a quick dose? I felt like I was going to die. now I know the difference between having to take a crap and labor this time around!

I had 2 c seations one was 10 yr ago and other will be 8 months the 28 i never got sick from the meds either..

I've had 3. First emergency last two were scheduled repeat csections. No horror stories really

I don't remember. I know I had a spinal but my liver was failing and my blood pressure went through the roof. I do remember the horrible shaking and I apprently flipped my shit over after an hour and half. I lost about two days.

I've never had a section but I'm an L&D nurse...
There are people are are sick from the moment we lay them down to hours after the delivery. There are others who always feel fabulous. Your experience was normal but it doesn't mean it will happen again. I would let them know that you were sick and maybe they will give you a little extra zofran.
