could be a growth spurt. Mine was super clingy and her eyes would still light up at 2 yrs old when she saw me put on the sling! LOL

My dd is almost 8 months and is very clingy also. She was doing so good until about 5/6 months when she started teething. She now has 6 teeth and is co sleeping. She used to sleep in the crib thru the night, if she woke up she would to back to sleep after nursing. Than she went thru the stage where she would sleep in the crib half way thru the night and than she wouldn't go back to sleep unless in bed with us. I eventually just gave up cuz its easier on both of us. I tried the CIO and couldn't do it, especially when she wad teething and had a cold. Good luck tho because I failed lol
Both my kids have done this/do this in spurts depending on what they are going thru, teething, growth spurt, etc. Right now my 15 month old is cutting 2 molars and every time I put him to bed, whether it's for nap or for the night, he gets really snuggly and wants to be rocked to sleep. This is the same child that flat out refuses to be held while sleeping. Normally I put him in his crib, he sprawls out and goes to sleep on his own and if I try to hold him, the throws a fit. Now he can't get enough snuggle time!
