Where does it show you an expiration date? And how do they expire?

On the back will be the date to stop use by. With constant "upgrades" to car seats..they put expiration dates.

your susposed to change it every 6 months. on the underside of them some have like a clock with the arrow pointing to the month and then on both sides of the center dot will be the year.

Yes! It is very dangerous and illegal to use an expired car seat.
