Ok so my son will be 3months on wed, and he is only BF. Well heres my problem he hasent pooped in 5 days. I have read that it is normal for BF babies to go awhile without pooping but its starting to worry me. The last couple days he has been really fussy while im feeding him & I think its because his tummy is bothering him. I was thinking about going to get prune juice to watter down and give him but I would rather not if I dont have to. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to help him or should I call his doctor??

When my babies were BF they went a week without pooping. No worries. He could just have gas.

In the breastfeeding group the longest it took baby to poop was like 3 WEEKS.
The best thing you can do is nurse. It's a natural laxative so if he really is stopped up(which he's probably not) it will help. I'd expect a really nasty blow out in the near future.
He may just have gas too. Give him tummy time, bicycle his legs, rub his belly, and maybe try a warm relaxing bath:-)

Nooooo juice, no water, no nothing, just nurse mama. As breastfed babies get older, their bodies become more efficient at absorbing all the good stuff in our milk which leaves VERY little waste (poop). As long as he's wetting diapers and passing gas, he's fine. Your milk is a natural laxative, any other liquid is never needed. Just prepare for a huge poop blowout lol. All is normal :)

It's normal. If he starts pooping little hard pellet like poops then you would want to do juice. If not just keep nursing.
