Fake for us. IMO real trees smell way too strongly and with a toddler running around I don't want to deal with having needles all over the floor. Plus we don't have to go buy a tree every year, we just bring it down from the attic and dust it off :)

We do fake. But this year we're not putting it up which bums me out :( but my little man is into everything I already would foresee him taking ornaments off or knocking the tree down and our apartment isn't big enough to put a baby gate around it.
