No, I'm usually game but if I'm not I just say so.

Lol. Once when I was pregnant I told dh I had my period. Just as a joke of course since I was about 5 months along. Then I told him I just didn't feel like it and was tired.

No. theres no reason to make up an excuse. If I say Im not in the mood, then thats enough. You shouldnt have to make up excuses about sex.
