I see lemon juice listed as an ingredient in a lot of baby food. My doctor said no citrus.

Anyone know why they put lemon juice and when it's ok for babies?

They put lemon juice obit to keep it from changing colors and as a preservative I believe.
When you cut an apple it turns brown. Well if you rub a little lemon juice on it it will stop the process and keep nice looking apples

A lot of baby recipes call for a splash of lemon juice to keep it looking fresh.
