Nothing. In our family, gifts go to the kids. For the adults who are having a good year, sometimes gifts are also given to parents/grandparents. It would honestly never even cross my mind to get something for my husband's brother, and I'd never expect anything from him.
But if it was expected, I'd probably give him a gift card.
Gift card to Best buy, or for itunes etc. Or a subscription to a magazine he likes.

usually don't buy for my brother either. And I tell him not to buy for us. But if he wants he can get stuff for the kids but he doesn't have to.

We don't so individual gifts. When my sister was married we would do a gift they both could use.
