It depends on the age.
The Baby Bjorn is never a good carrier, so you can only go up from there :)
I like the moby wrap for 0-6 months and the Ergo from 6 months on.
I prefer the moby. Its just all around more comfy for a bigger baby and my muscles lol
The Hipster--it distributes the baby's weight across the neck and back (think messenger bag). My daughter is 2.5 and 30 lbs and can still fit in it and relatively comfortably for the both of us!
$16.95 on Amazon!
I like pouches for the first 6-8 months and then soft structured carriers after that. Everyone will like different things... you probably want to try a few.
I loved the Moby with DD1 for the first 3 months and then a Mei Tei. I really liked both. For DD2 we bought an Ergo and I LOVE it! I've only worn her in the Moby once and the Mei Tei twice. I always reach for the Ergo. I only use the MT when the Ergo gets left in the car. Comfy, easy, quick, and DD loves it.
That being said, "best" is definitely relative. Different carriers work better for different people and it depends on what baby is comfy in, too.
