So my son is 20.9 lbs as of last week. He turned 5 months on Nov. 9th. So my question is, is that to big for a swing? He is still using his, but when he tries to roll or sit up, he will fall out, so im always watching him in it. But its the only thing that puts him to sleep when my bf isnt here! If i boob him to sleep i dont want him getting an ear infection if i dont sit him up, and if i try to rock him to sleep like my bf does, he just turns his head and searches for lunch lol
Seems unsafe, but what else can i do?
You sure? my dd was EBF and she got them when i would feed her laying down at night and not burp her, just fell back asleep. i thought since ear, nose, mouth is all connected it would leak down into his ears and get an infection

Bfing babies are not at a high risk for ear infections. That's a formula thing.
I only had issues with ear infections with my second formula fed son but none with my third ,breastfed, son who wasn't burped at night after 8 weeks. I think some kids are just prone to ear infections though.
Ohh ok. Hes a loud long burper so i thought he needed it

Most swings are up to 25 I think. Contact the manufacturer.

Check the weight limit on your swing and make sure he is buckled in.
My little girl is 19 months and still hasn't reached 20 lbs yet. (but, she was a preemie)... so I can't really relate. LOL.

Check the manual for the swing or search it online if you don't have it or can't find it. most baby things are good up to 25lbs. If he is still under the max weight than make sure he is buckled and put a soft blanket underneath for some padding.

Any baby can have an ear infection

As far as the swing goes, just check the weight limit and make sure he is buckled in.
