Conversating with LO!

Is it okay to respond to my baby"s jabba? My brother think im crazy because we really do not know what she's saying. I think my responding like in a conversation actually helps her learn words. What do you guys think?!

I think you are absolutely correct.  You can respond with baby talk or simply saying "yeah?  Really?  That's so interesting!" etc.  It teaches them the give and take of a conversation. :)

You are right! It is a great way for them to learn about language early on! Keep talking to her! You are enrichinng her little brain every time you do! Research has shown that parents who talk to their babies, explaing what you are doing or just responding to their coos, helps language development emensely!
