No, I would not be comfortable with him in the room. I am very picky on who can be there or not.

Yup. My dad was in the OR when I have birth to my son.
Then again, he was the peditrician on call.

No, I would rather a random person in the hospital (say the air conditioner repairman) be there over my father.

 I would have loved to have my dad with me when I gave birth to his grandchildren, it would have been a lot better then their father..... However, he wouldn't do it.
