my husband is completely against vaccines and we are not planning to give our son his due to the fact that as a child he never got them until he joined the military and most of his family don't have them due to the fact that they believe they do nothing for you and he says that growing up he rarely got sick  but when he was it was bad but only for 2 or 3 days and on the other hand i grew up with all my shots and seems like i was sick more than he was as a child and still to this day hes NEVER sick even when i am but i believe it depends on everyone's immune system i am soo terrified that my son isn't getting them....what are your thoughts on vaccinations?

We don't do them. I researched vaccinations for about 18 months before coming to that decision.

no vaccines. my brother and i [and all my cousins] never got them. yea we did get sick. but for a very short amount of time. same for my unvaccinated 17-month-old. shes been sick twice.

its perfectly ok to not vaccinate your child. that is *your* choice as the parents. its legal, and its *not* absolutely required for schools and daycares.

but of course you should research it, because you will be attacked by friends and family. and its good to be able to defend your choices [not that you need to, if you are confident in them ;P]

We fully vaccinate(including flu.) My older two sons have been more sick then my youngest son but they weren't breastfed(I pumped 3.5 months though.) My youngest is 15 months, breastfeeding every 3 hours, and has been sick 4 times. He always gets sick last but gets better quicker.

We do vax, except for the flu shot, because my daughter got extremely sick for 3 days after getting them. She rarely gets sick.

We fully vaccinate.  I don't want some other child that is unable to have vaccinations because of medical reasons to suffer because I didn't vax my son.  I also want to protect my son against diseases that killed and debilitated many people years ago.

It does depend a LOT on your immune system and your nutrition choices. My DH was fully vaccinated and rarely gets sick. I was never vaccinated (I have had everything but measles...yes, I even had rubella!) and I have the worst immune system ever! I am ALWAYS sick! We do selective delayed vacs. Especially for my sons, I would hate for them to be infertile because they got sick too late in life!

Honestly, I think it is a personal decision. Only you and your spouse know what is best for your family. If he is open to it, research the pros and cons. Ask questions of people you KNOW and TRUST (ie not strangers on the internet). That way, whatever happens, you can be confident in your decision and know exactly why you choose whatever you end up choosing.

Best of luck!!

We don't vaccinate and our daughter has only been sick a couple of times in her 6 yrs.The flu has been going around her school and while almost every kid on her class has gotten it (she's the only non-vaccinated one),she still hasn't gotten it.

We don't vax. I think that is a very personal decision that you need to research. Talk to your husband and come up with something you are both comfortable with.

We don't vaccinate. There is a huge reference library of resources in the group choosing not to vaccinate if you're looking for info.
