questions about avocados

how can you tell if it's bad and needs to be thrown away?

what's the best way to feed it to your baby?

i started peeling it with a peeler but i stopped because I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly because I've never feed my son avocados before.

also, are avocados fruits or vegetables?

I always just cut it in half, take the seed out and slice it(it 'peels' easier that way)
Generally if it's brown or black inside, it needs to be tossed

I have matti slices of it when he was starting solids

Nope :)
I don't think I've ever cooked an avocado

Cut it in half and you can scoop out the fruit.   If you keep the pit in the one side, store it in the fridge and it will keep longer.   It should be bright green with no/minimal black spots and soft enough to fork mash.   If you can't mash it, it's not ripe.   Leave on the counter to ripen, they will not ripen in the fride.   After they are ripe, they will keep longer in the fridge, though.   They are a fruit.

Seed therefore a fruit. Cut in half and scoop out, slice it, it into small pieces for baby.
