Tell me how you did it. How did it work? Tell me all about it please. We are at our wits end! Our baby is 9 months old.

I don't sleep train. My children have learned to sleep through the night naturally, as they were ready. One did it technically from birth (6 hours) and truly by 6 weeks. The next didn't sleep well regularly til he was 2. The last slept great between 2 & 4 months, then regressed majorly until he was 7 months and then started sleeping great most of the time again.

Good luck!

my baby is 10 months old and still doesn't sleep through the night either, still wakes up 3-4times a night, i think its cuz she well hydrated, i have to change her everytime she wakes up n she's soaked.

I never did it. He was probably 8 or 9 months old before he slept a good 6 hours a night on a regular basis.

we had started mine at around 4 months, once she started getting a good six hour stretch in, by putting her down in the crib when she was very sleepy but not actually asleep.  Every few nights she was put down a little more awake.  There was some CIO but she never lasted longer than ten minutes. By the time she was 9 months old I could put her in there wide awake and she would go to sleep. We HAD to sleep train, I'm so short that when we lowered the mattress I couldn't put her down dead asleep, my arms were too short.  Big thing is get a routine and stick to it. Feed, clean teethe, a little cuddle, then bed. We don't pick her up again normally once she's in the crib.  She's 14 months and sleeps from 8pm until about 7:30 AM through the night now.

I never trained them. All all 3 slept all night early on. My 1st did from birth 6-7 hours a night. My second was 3-4 months. My 3rd was from birth. After they were a few weeks old I didn't change them at night until they pooped if they woke up I just put them to bed with us. And when my hubby went to work he would move them back to there beds.

My baby is three mobths old and he used to sleep for 2 hrs and b awake for 2 hrs since he came home. So I kept him up and wide awake all day once and he slept thru the whole night. Ever since he has went to sleep at the same time every night and stays asleep and only takes a few naps during the day. Hopefully this will work for u.

We did Ferber.  At the same time every night, we would (And still do) start his bedtime routine - bath, pjs, milk, and a story.  Then we laid him down sleepy, but still awake.  If he cried (unless it was an urgent cry), we let him cry in increments that steadily increased.  i.e. First, he cried for 5 min, then we went in and patted his tummy to comfort him.  Then we left the room and let him cry for 10 minutes and again went in and comforted him.  Then 15 minutes.  The period of time should never be longer than 15 minutes.  It only took three days, and ever since then he has pretty much slept through the night (except when he's sick or teething, of course) and is very good about nap time.

Don't get me wrong, listening to him cry was gut wrenching.  But in the end it was worth it, because he now gets the sleep he needs.  And he is a very happy, smart and laid back one year old now. :)

I never did sleep training and definitely never did CIO.

They work it out...
