I just packed mine a couple days ago. I packed a couple onsies, the outfit to bring him home, the blalnket i made him, some diapers and wipes, 1 bottle and 1 can of formula. I cant breastfeed. So if you are breasfeeding you shouldnt need those last 2 items. With my last baby i didnt go straight home from the hospital so it was nice to have the bag with some cloths and diapers. Good luck.

I took a baby outfit and a back up baby outfit
Two outfits for me
Hairbrush
Phone charger
Camera stuff
Snacks
My own pillow
Clothes for DH
Lots of quarters for extra snacks for him
Car seat
That's about all I used. I brought A LOT and barely touched most of it. The hospital provides a lot.

This is what I have packed:

My bag: all my make up,shampoo and toiletries, hair dryer, robe, lots of underwear, nursing bra, slippers, socks, extra outfit , period pads, tums, gum and cash for vending machines.

Baby: two outfits, caps, mittens and onsies. He is measuring big, so just in case I have two different sizes. Baby blanket, pacifiers, wet and diapers (just everything I need to keep in the diaper bag anyways...loll)

Comfy clothes, socks, slippers, hair brush, hair ties, camera, Ipod (helps during labor), tons of undies, sports bra (if you aren't breastfeeding), I brought some new born diapers because most hospitals only provide size 1's and I knew my baby was going to be small, hand sanitizer (for visitors), few outfits for baby :)

Camera, laptop, ipod (music), feminine products (if you prefer your own), undies, clothes, tooth brush, brush, make-up, and your own pillow (if you want to bring it, I always did)

For baby, a change of clothes and baby bok if you are filling one out!
