Where'd my happy baby go?

Posted by   + Show Post
So the past couple days I noticed my 4 month old dd just doesn't seem as happy. She's not really smiling and is fussy. Monday she got her vaccines.. Maybe that's why? And I started 2 tsp rice cereal in bottle which she is eating fine and Zantac. Has this ever happened to your lo's suddenly? And did they get over it?

zantac? for an infant? I never heard of that.

After every vaccine, my son would run a low grade fever and act like he wasn't feeling good for a day or two afterwards. Normal, or so I have been told. I just pampered him for a couple of days after a vaccination. After that he was back to his normal self.

wow.

I didn't realize so many infants were having heart burn due to breast milk or formula.

I don't doubt what you are saying. I just can't believe that we are now giving infants things like this.

My doctor has only prescribed flouride pills for my son because the water we have doesn't contain any at all. He hasn't prescribed anything else.

Well all that's really in it is ranitidine a histamine blocker and antacid. I'm gonna give it a try and see if it makes her more comfortable:)

My first thought when I read your post was it is a vaccine reaction. You REALLY need to do research on vaccines before you allow her to get anymore. A baby can have a short term vaccine reaction like what you described or worse up to a month after receiving them. I would start at the CDC website to learn about the ingredients and reactions that occur with each vaccine. I added a list of other questions you should research and some links to get you started.

here is a link to the inserts so you can see the poison they deem is "safe" to inject into your child

Here are some questions to answer for yourself in deciding about vaccination:

1. Name of the disease
2. Description of the disease
3. Length of time from initial infection to end of all symptoms
4. Infectious period
5. Normal symptoms of the disease
6. Known serious consequences of the disease
7. Proportion of persons infected developing serious consequences
8. Transmission route of the disease
9. Prevalence of the disease
10. Treatments of the disease and efficacy of those treatments
11. Relevant research about the disease
12. Name of the vaccine
13. Company that makes the vaccine
14. Contents of the vaccine
14A. The significance of whether or not the vaccine is live
15. History of development of the vaccine
16. Known side-effects of the vaccine and rate of incidence of those side-effects
17. Possible side-effects not yet acknowledged by the vaccine maker
18. Relevant research into the vaccine
19. How effective is the vaccine at preventing the disease?
20.What is the vaccine meant to do? (Many vaccines are not meant to prevent infection or transmission).
21.Number of cases reported each year.
22.Number of deaths reported each year from the vaccine and natural disease.

Thank you-- but what I described are very general baby behaviors. She's alot better today since we stopped the cereal. My older dd never had reactions from vaccines and I really don't think this was either since it was so delayed- got her shots Monday and just thurs. she was a little more fussy. But thank you for your reply I wil look into it just cuz I'm interested

It's fine to put cereal in the bottle (never hurt my kids). I'd vote for teething.
