Quoting CristoC:You can wear him, But NEVER while you are COOKING, that could pose a serious danger to you and your little one, You can leave him on the swing and put a paci on him, or make a nice tidy nest on the floor, 9never in high plces) and set him down while you are doing stuff around the house... Its always safer to leave him in the crib while you are showering. You will get used to the mommy routine... you can get something to wear him like a wrap, sling or carrier anywhere online or BRUS,, if you ae looking for a handme down"" or something cheaper try craigslist or ebay...
I hope it works and relax! :)
Yes, try getting a baby carrier. You can do a lot while wearing your baby and many times they just fall asleep next to you. I've tried the BabyBjorn, Moby wrap and Ergo. The Ergo is the most expensive but the best for your back! And kids can use it until they are 2+ years old.
Also there's nothing wrong with leaving your baby in the crib or on a mat (if they aren't mobile) while you take a monitor with you so you can shower. That phase doesn't last long - once they start moving around, watch out!
I have 13 month old twins who keep the same sleep schedule. So now I have to shower/clean house, etc., while they are napping. That's a whole hour (sometimes more!) to get things done. Good luck!
I agree, nap time is the best time to relax for a few minutes.
Quoting la_bella_vita:I've always had me time while baby is napping...or my husband would sit with the baby. 10 minutes always refreshed me so I know what you mean : )
