My son is almost 7 months & has been on nutramigen for colic/gas. He isnt colicy anymore & was thinking I might be able to switch to similac formula. Any thoughts?

You can try... but dairy intolerances generally don't clear up this early. It can happen, it's just not super common.

He doesnt have a dairy intolerance that I know of & his doc said he should be able to handle milk just fine. When that day comes.

Nutramigen is hypo-allergenic formula for babies who are allergic to dairy and soy. His gas and "colic" were symptoms of dairy intolerance... many babies will outrow it around a year, others take longer... which is why your doctor probably said he should be able to handle milk after a year.
Really, talk to his doctor about it.
