My 4 y/o dd has a loose tooth already! I was not aware this happens so early-- I thought like 6.. But it was weird cuz the other day she had a dental appt just for a cleaning and the dental hygienist said to her that her tooth was loose- well no one told me anything and I had no idea so the next day I'm looking in her mouth and notice it... Weird- I wonder if the hygienist bumped it or something.

some kids can lose teeth early, some don't lose any until around 7 or 8.

It's normal. Kind of on the early side of normal but i don't believe the dental hygienist would have been doing anything rough enough to knock the tooth loose without you knowing about it... or the entire office for that matter.

Oh wow, my oldest is 6 and has no loose teeth yet. I lost teeth late though so I assumed the same for my kids, lol
