When do you get your cycle back?

Posted by   + Show Post

My daughter will be two months old Feb 4th and I just had an IUD put in two days ago. My OB found it odd that I have yet to start my period.. How long did it take for you ladies?

Great!

The only ones *I* experience are cramping and pimples on my face, about a week before my period starts. I did bleed continuously for just about the first two months after insertion, but since then, my period has come at the same time every month.

Quoting KeiraRose:

I also have Mirena. How's it working for you? Any side effects?

Quoting babygomez:

After my first- 7 weeks.

After my second- 4 weeks.

Do you mind if I ask which IUD you have? Just curious. :) I have had Mirena in for almost a year now.

If your breastfeeding it can delay it.  I didn't get mine back until dd was 11 months old.

I breastfeed all mine. 1st - 6 months, 2nd - 9 months, 3rd 5 months.

My SIL breast feed and got her back at 6 weeks.

With the first 2 I started back up around 10-11 months. With the third baby I started at 12 months.
