What could be upsetting my newborns stomach?

Posted by   + Show Post

During the first two weeks, my baby didn't seem to have any problems with keeping down breastmilk.

Now it's as if all of the sudden the past few days she is spitting up/vomiting? (smells like puke) quite a bit a few times a day.

Is this normal, or is there something I could be doing or eating that is upsetting her stomach?

Spit up is normal. See if any if this applies to you:

I have been consuming dairy since birth though...would it take a couple weeks for her to have a reaction?

I think perhaps the rare coffee consumption may be to blame (as an occasional treat). No she doesn't seem to be in pain or anything when it occurs.

This. I would lean more towards over active letdown or oversupply before dairy.

I would ask the pedi. It could be something your eating/drinking or also could be reflux.

The description for baby of forceful letdown sounds pretty spot on. Has anyone has this problem and used the "uphill" holding and had success?
