There have seen a lot of posts about diapers and what the best brands are, but I'm curious about wipes. I never knew how many types/options there were! As a first time mom of a 3 month old, I'm still experimenting with all the different brands and types to see what works best for me. How did/do you Mamas pick your favorite wipes?

I buy them on Etsy. They're a lot less expensive than name brand cloth wipes.

Do you buy them or make them?

Quoting katinahat:

Other. We use cloth wipes. Double-sided-- one side sherpa, the other velour.

We use cloth wipes, two layers of an old recieving blanket sewed together. I keep a sports bottle with  plain water by the changing table &  squirt it on the wipe when I need it. We also cloth diaper so I just toss them in with the diapers. We DO use disposable wipes in the diaper bag & I usually jsut buy whatever is cheaper without scent.

We buy kirkland's unscented ones from Costco. I prefer to buy them in bulk.

I use cloth. I don't like putting nasty chemicals on my son.

I use cloth wipes :) I spent $15 for 4 dozen 3 years ago and it's all I have used on my baby.

Cut a roll of paper towels in half (Bounty or Viva work best), take out the cardboard and put them in tupperware. Mix 2 cups water, 3 tbsp baby oil, and 1 tbsp baby wash in a bowl then pour over the towels and let soak for 24 hours. They're awesome!

Quoting KRYSTALK1013:

What do you use to make them?

Quoting leanntx:

I make my own. They work great, and my ds has yet to get any kind of rash.

I like the Huggies brand b/c they are thick and attached together so they will pop up together out of the box in case you need more than you pulled out.  I also like the Sam's Brand (Member's Mark) or Walmart Brand.  Those are both thick!

at first only Pampers wipes because my oldest son would break out with a rash when I used any other brands. now I just get the Target brand because they are cheaper.
