I felt bad from the get-go because I wanted to bf but my body just couldn't produce more than a few ounces a day.  I dried up by 3 months.  No amount of assistance or specialists could help.  My body just said no.

I also had the same problem - 3 months this week and I am basically dry as a bone a little sad.

I didn't. I made it to my goal which was very hard because I pumped all day at work. I was happy I made it because keeping my supply up was a struggle. Plus I was very ready. Ds made me stand to feed him and my back killed me!

I just don't understand why you felt the need to post that.
Here is a woman feeling guilty for stopping breastfeeding (and whatever reason is probably a good one) and you are shoving your perfection in her face.
Don't get me wrong what you are doing for your child is wonderful but I just don't see how your comment is encouraging AT ALL! You might as well added a :-P face while you were at it!

My son hasn't weaned yet but I won't feel guilty when he does because it will be up to him when it's time for him to stop nursing.

There will be no encouraging or forcing coming from my part so there will be absolutely nothing to feel guilty about.

I felt horrible when we had to wean. We had planned to self wean but my health didn't agree at the time so we had to stop earlier than planned. I can't really say I felt guilty but I did mourn for a long time over it & even now 2 yrs later I still miss it.

No, i was only sad bc he didnt need me in that way anymore. But as for the breastfeeding itself, i had no choice cus my body stopped producing and he wasnt getting anything. But my little boy still wants momma all the time so there was no real guilt, i BF for 6 months before the supply was cut. To me, it is what it is thats how i see it.

Yes! I had inverted nipples, so I had to use a plastic one, plus with the hospital forcing me to take her up which pissed her of and made learning more difficult.I lost nope after nipple at ten bucks a piece, and often forgot it, we had to make several hospital trips due to various family illnesses, and had to (unfortunately) start feeding her formula.I engorged several times and soon I stopped producing altogether... I breastfeed exclusively the first there weeks, then it slowed over the next two months.b by three months I was dry.... It still twists my great thinking about how I failed my daughter.... I didn't give birth to her, didn't feed get right, can't support her.... I don't feline a mother

Oooooohhh yes! We had latching issues from the beginning. He was basically starving. I started pumping, but couldn't keep up. It just added more stress and contributed to my ppd. The day I switched to formula was the best and worst decision I had made in his life at the time. It took a while to decide.
