rear facing carseat

ds will be 9 months this weekend.  i was wondering if it would be too soon to place him in a rear facing carseat, he's still in his infant carrier carseat.  i know that with dd she was 11 months when we made the switch, but i'm noticing that my little man is outgrowing his right now.

any advice or suggestions of a good carseat for ds?

Baby's can be put in a convertible at birth, so he's definitely old enough to be in one! :)
If you can provide his weight, torso length, and your budget, I know the carseat guru's will lead you to an excellent choice of seats! :)

 phew! good to know.  thanks!

i know you shouldn't compare your kids but i didn't want to feel like i was being more precautious with dd and not ds, and have him in one earlier, kwim.

A carseat that fits is the safest one to put baby in :) but yes you can put them in a rearfacing convertible at birth so he is fine to switch :)

We personally skip the infant and do a rf convertible car seat from birth. So yes, switch at any time.

The law is for forward facing, not for rear facing car seats.

Forgot to mention, Britax convertibles are my favorite kind of car seat. They're amazing quality.

There are a lot of good ones on the market now. What's your budget? How big is he?
