I am needing to get a convertible car seat for my 10 month old...he is WAY too big for his infant seat anymore and I am wondering which ones work best for rear and front facing, along with comfort and not breaking the pocket book. What do you have and why do you love or hate it. TIA!
We got ours on sale for about $100. Target always has sales every few months on them.
This is the one we have and I love it! It is comfy, easy to clean and doesn't take up a ton of space.

I also have this one front facing and this one is buklier, not as comfy and harder to clean:

I definately like that price!!

I love my Britax Roundabout. Still rearfacing with it at almost 20 months. A million times better than the Gracco infant seat we had.

no kidding! will definately either go tonight or tomorrow...I get the 5% Target pharmacy rewards and have the 5% off target red card too so that would be awesome!

We were going to buy another a few weeks ago, and they were marked down from $220 to $140, so its definitely something to look at!

My 3 week old is in the True Fit, just like all of my other kids were/are - except for my 2.5 year old. She's in the Britax Advocate CS.
I love both seats! The TF is great for tall/skinny kids. It rear faces to 35lbs, harnesses to 65lbs. The cover has snaps, so it makes it super easy to take on and off for cleaning. The harness is no rethread, so it's super easy to adjust. It has an anti rebound bar - which is a must for me.
The Advocate has the no rethread harness, side impact protection, anti rebound protection etc. It RF to 40lbs and harnesses to 65lbs.

The longest lasting seat for right now is the graco mysize70(tru/bru)/headwise70(target)/size4me70 seats. Very long lasting, tall shell, high harness slots, rear and forward faces, grows with child, lots of padding. If I didn't have seats that were serving our needs just fine at the moment I'd be buying one.
Anti rebound bar?
OP- My son was in the Graco myride 65.

It's a bar that braces the seat a bit, to lessen the rebound after impact. It's the same idea as the Britax rear facing tether - only it's a bar lol
It looks like this:
