Yup, here we go again Infants do not have enough of the enzyme Amylase to digest grains until they are 1 year.
Here is my link, short and sweet, that was reviewed and approved by several doctors. It is just the facts about Amylase, not a long article on grains but it proves my point.

Yeah when my oldest was a baby his doctor insisted at 3 mths he needed rice cereal because he was such a big baby. I was an idiot and listened now he is the only one with horrible digestive and constipation issues! I feel so horrible for him and being stupid and not doing my own research to begin with.

I wish is of known about that from the beginning, but as soon as I learned I stopped giving it to dd! I think she consumed it (not a lot though) from 4-6 months. I really hope it hasn't done any damage :(!

I hope it doesnt do any damage either! At least she didnt have much! Remember its not just rice cereals but pasta's and other grains as well!

I start my other 2 kids at 4 months because I thought that was the thing to do. This time around I did my research and my baby is gonna have a different eating habit this time around.

I read anarticle recently on this- It mentioned something about their molars righ, Since they profucd the amalyse anfd the kiddos don't get them until their like 1 they aren't able to digest the grains until at least a year. I was surprised it takes that long.
