6 months is when the majority of children cut new teeth. Check his mouth.

Oh my.. this is my son to a tee. I would say if he's not crying he's not hurting and he's fine. My guy whines because he wants things he doesn't know how to get. For instance he wants to walk but can't do it without support so he whines until you help him get up. He's almost 9 months now but he's been like that since he was born. You would most likely know if something were wrong or if he is in pain he would be very upset. In my opinion whining is just a personality quirk.

mostly likely teeth, buy an amber necklace to help and if you have a carrier, wear him. My son was a "high needs" mostly just liked being close to momma and I wore him in the carrier majority of the day and he was happier.

I agree with everyone else. I bet he is teething. Try getting those teething toys you can put in the freezer. My son also liked chewing on cold damp cloths. Teething tablets also worked pretty well. I used tylenol when he was REALLY uncomfortable.

Babies go through stages like this all the time, my oldest son did this at 6 months old and it lasted about a month or 2. Then when he hit 2 years old it all came back again.....it's annoying, but it's usually because they are growing or teething or something is hurting them, so try to be understanding and realize he's just not feeling good.

he could be teething and he probably is just discovering new noises!
my dd is six months and she whines a lot too. I put her in her mei tai and she hushes right up. She also has an Amber necklace that she wears that does help
