Peeing on the floor....

My 16-month old son pees on the floor at least once a day.  He doesn't like the feel of peeing in his diaper and somehow has figured out how to pee outside of the diaper.  I'm wondering if this is maybe a message to me that he's ready to be potty trained?  He is very vocal about when he needs his diaper changed, and for several months we have left a training potty out where he'll sit when he needs to go to #2 (but he's in a diaper).  Can anyone reccomend a good resource for potty training?  A book or a video for parents?  DS is my first child, so I'm pretty clueless on where to go from here.

Try putting him on the potty regularly and see what happens. My third child was trained at 13 months. Some kids just do it earlier than others
