Tell me your experience.

When did you start offering foods, what did you give him/her?

How often did you offer foods, and how long did it take for him/her to be interested?

Ria is 6 months, I have given her banana, but she just smooshes and smears it. lol She gets upset when we're eating, and makes chewing motions so seems like she wants some but never eats anything and doesn't try to pick anything up.

Started offering at 6 months with the one, no interest until about 7.5. Then very little until about 10/11 months.
The next was stealing food already at 5.75 months....

I started offering, usually banana or avocado, around 6 months. She didn't start actually eating until closer to 7.5 months, when one day she grabbed my sandwich out of my hands and started eating it! Haha

about 6 months with my youngest two, they started playing with it at first and then moved to eating it (it's how they learn).  sometimes convincing them to take the first bite is difficult depending on the child.  we started with avacado, banana, green beans, sweet potato fries
