My DD was considered a premie by the hospital staff due to her size but technically I don't consider her one. She was born at 38 weeks but they said I may have been 34 weeks.

She went into a breathing thing and spent 6 hours. But didn't get any shots for her lungs.

She was 5lbs but dropped to 4lbs 12oz

I didn't have a preemie, but one of my good friends did at 30/31 weeks. The baby was 3 lbs 1 oz. The baby had to stay in until close to her due date. She was born June 1, and wasn't due until kid August.

Another friend had a preemie at 27ish weeks. He is now 4 and perfectly healthy and all boy!

My baby boy was considered preemie because he was born at 36 weeks 5 days, less than 37 weeks.  He weighed 5 lbs 10 oz which his pediatrician said was small for his gestational age.  He didn't need any shots for his lungs.  He just had to spend the nights in NICU so someone was always monitoring his breathing.

mine was 34w0d, not shots, she was big, 5lbs10oz and 18in.

I got steroid shots for my second child when I went into labor at 34w0d, we were able to put off labor for a few weeks though.

My BFFs twins were born at 31w5d, they were 4lbs7oz and 4lbs9oz (not sure how long) they spent some time on oxygen, but were sent home right before Katrina hit since they were no longer critical and wouldn't be monitored once they lost power...they were 17 days old. (right at 34w gestational age when they went home)

My daughter was born at 24 weeks and weighed 1 lb 8 ozs. I got a shot of steroids for her lungs while I was in labor but I was only able to get one shot before she was born.

I was 34 weeks when I had him. He weighed 5 lbs 5 oz. I didn't get shots because we weren't expecting on delivering him early.
