Babies Babies

What are the top 5 items that you have to have when you get home from the hospital? BESIDES the obvious like diapers, wipes, and bottles. Getting all my last items and don't want to forget anything... :)

Washcloths, water bottles (for me, not baby) pillows, blankets and his seat. It was a rocker/bouncy seat that goes back for the newborn phase and sits up like a chair. I wish I would have had a rocking chair though. That would have been awesome.

A swing, bouncy seat, and bassinet. If you're having a boy and circumcising, 3 or 4 bassinet sheets since diapers will leak until he heals (and then in that case, vasoline and sterile gauze)

To answer your earlier question, you will probably want both a swing and bouncy seat. It's a different sensation for baby, as well as the seat is so much more portable for taking baby around the house with you.

1. A boppy
2. Nursing pads (its crazy how much you leak!)
3. A baby swing
4. Ring sling or other baby carrier
5. A swaddler or receiving blankets to swaddle with

I use both there very handy

Quoting Spring.Mom:

Do you use both bouncer and swing? I have been trying to decide on if I should get both.

Quoting Zazayam:

A swing
A vibrating bouncy seat

Yeah, that's all I need really. Aside from the general essentials of course (car seat, wipes, diapers, etc...)
