I am going to try a homemade one that is safe for my baby. I am going camping this summer with a newborn (he will be about 4-6 weeks old) so no spray for him. It is a peppermint spray and should be ok for littles. Also, I heard dryer sheets keep the pesty things away. Not sure if that is true but I am going to try it!

Choose something withOUT deet. I know Avon makes a bug repellent/sunscreen for babies/kids. Also, you might check the California Baby line.

I use avon's skin so soft bath oil. It's not FOR repelling bugs but works as one. He's so soft afterwards as well! And the smell isn't bad!

Pure vanilla extract works pretty well, and smells good too :)

I used regular bug spray up until now. I'm trying to find other natural alternatives. For now we just have a citronella candle in the bedroom.

Citronella bracelets ( on ankles instead of wrists so it doesn't end up in LO's mouth)

Off! Makes a clip on bug repellant as well.

( suggestions from My boyfriends mother. We were just talking about this)

This is a good one. My step mother's father uses SSS mixed with vinegar to repel bugs from his horses and mules when they're riding trails.
