I started skiping feedings. It was less painful in u too. Then he was just fine with no feedings

try replacing a nursing session with a sippy or bottle of whole milk . warm or cold.

I slowly weaned by slowing cutting back on feedings

Best way is to drop one feeding per week, starting with the one baby is least attached to.  A gradual weaning like that keeps you from developing blocked ducts or mastitis.

Drop one feeding a week. One feeding a day, just tell him or her that you are busy right now and then offer a favored alternative (a sippy cuo, favorite snack, time with a preferred special toy), then increase to two feedings and so on. Also, if s/he doesn't ask for it, don't offer. :)

I distracted and delayed when mine was 19 months.  It went pretty well.

Cut out 1 feeding a week until there are no more. If baby nurses 6 times a day then it would take 6 weeks. Good luck
