The Royal Baby Has a Name!

by Mary Fischer

royal family

OMG. This has seriously been the most exciting week EVER! First Kate Middleton gave birth on Monday, then we got our first glimpse of the Prince of Cambridge yesterday -- and now the third announcement we've all been waiting for has finally been made!

Yes, my friends -- the royal baby's name has been revealed -- and it's absolutely wonderful.

Ok, I won't keep you in suspense any longer.

Baby Cambridge is officially George Alexander Louis!

It's traditional. And so stately. And so ... royally perfect.

(And now what are we supposed to obsess over?)

2 moms liked this

I think...I don't care about some kid in another country that has nothing to do with me.  I would like my news back because I don't care about this kid.   I watch good morning America and way too much time is spent on this meaningless baby when there are real news stories to be told.

I think it's a very regal name. I love Alexander! I guessed the name this morning and DH texted me and asked if I was a psychic! lol

At first I was like...interesting. Then when I read the reasoning behind it, I felt it made sense. I like Alexander better than George but I think it's just because you don't hear too many babies being called George.

I think it's a good, solid, traditional name fitting for a royal and future king.
Do I personally like the name George? Nah. But there's nothing wrong with it either.
