My lo has this rash. Originally the doctor (not our normal doctor) said it was eczema and to put dye free scent free lotion on it three times a day. This was a while ago and it seems worse. To me it is more characteristic to heat rash which lotions can make worse. I don't know if I should bathe him tonight and lay off the lotion or what I should do...he has a doctors appointment on Monday i just wish I could do something about it before then to calm it down.
What do you think it is?

No problem! For all rashes (minus heat rash) I use renew lotion by melaleuca. Works great!

Aquaphor is good. I would try to stay away from products made from Johnson & johnson, like aveeno. Renew has no chemicals or toxins. Which is why we love it :)

Depends on the type of eczema I think. Some are dry, some are not. I had eczema that was all oozy and a hot shower dried it out faster and it healed faster. I also had a cream prescribed. Whenever I had it on my hands I soaked them in hot water. Felt great because of how itchy it always was. I don't get it anymore, though.
