My baby just got his 2 month old shots. I had read you shouldn't give them Tylenol unless absolutely necessary due to the fact it could possibly interfere with the effectiveness of the shots. I am breastfeeding and the past 2 days have had to take some Tylenol for a headache. I know it can somewhat pass through your breast milk, my question is do you think it was enough to effect the shots he just received???

You are fine taking the Tylenol. No worries.

My dr had me give her pain relief medicine prior to the shots and for the next 48 hours to avoid a fever

The amount of medicine is minimal, too small to affect the vaccines. Don't worry about it.

This, I ended up giving Aubrey Tylenol about two hours after her two month shots because she had a terrible reaction to them, complete with fever and swelling at injection site.
