almost 4 month feeding question

my ds will be 4 months on the 9th he has been eating 5-6oz every 2 hours ( he gets cereal in each bottle for his reflux) and still seems hungry after each feeding is this normal i am thinking a growth spurt but wanted other mama's opinions

Try letting him take 1-2 oz burp, 1-2 oz burp, 1-2 oz burp. That way his brain gets the signal from his stomach that he's full.

He is probably crying because his stomach is being stretched by too much at one time and he's in pain.

That's a massive amount, try smaller more frequent feedings. Babies aren't meant to have such large amounts at once, especially with formula because it's so hard to digest. And alot of times people think a baby is hungry, when in reality they just want to suck either for comfort or because they don't feel well.

 by that age, my son was eating 8oz every hour so we started giving him cereal too

sounds like a growth spurt to me. My boys ate that much but they were drinking pumped breastmilk. I'd double check with your doctor just to be sure, though. Best of luck to you!
