how long after baby being born does depression stay postpartum vs just depression
I always thought for sure up to a year but possibly longer.
about a year....
I think about a year.
It can be even longer than a year. They say that those that had a not-so-ideal birth, or c-secion can have depression hit as much as 18 months after. If you are feeling depressed, and not yourself at any time, see a counselor or try a support group!
Up to a year
same here. This website was really helpful for me:
I had it all 4 times plus a little PTSD thanks to hyperemesis gravidaru. Lovely! But you can totally get through it! I promise! Quoting norahsmommy:
Baby blues lasts a few weeks, ppd can last a year or more. Mine was about a year and a half. It didn't kick in right away, but after a few weeks it was in full force.

(((hugs))) it can last for about a year from what I hear.
It's labeled as Post Partem for the whole first year.
